Expert in comparative media policy, law and regulation, former president of AMARC
Steve Buckley is a communication rights activist and expert in comparative media policy, law and regulation, with extensive international experience. He is a board member and former president of the World Association of Community Radio Broadcasters (AMARC). He has been a council member of the International Freedom of Expression Exchange (IFEX) and a consultant to UNESCO, World Bank, UK DFID, Association for Progressive Communications and Panos Institute West Africa, among others. He is co-author of “Broadcasting Voice and Accountability: A public interest approach to policy, law and regulation”.
