Alvito de Souza has been with SIGNIS since 2000 and became the secretary general in 2008. He has field experience in development cooperation, humanitarian and emergency relief work in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania and Zambia. An accredited action research/organization development consultant, de Souza holds a master’s degree in cultures and development studies with a focus on inclusive learning processes and organization behavior and social organization.
