hosted by Deutsche Welle Akademie
For people to be able to actively shape and live out their identity, they need to be able to receive and access information from a variety of different sources, and make their voices heard through various channels.
In order to enforce and guarantee the diversity of media sectors worldwide, media viability is crucial. Media outlets of all kinds - local, regional and national as well as news organizations working in minority languages or for disadvantaged groups - have to be able to financially survive in the long-term and produce independent, high-quality journalism.
DW Akademie's Media Viability Idea Lab is an interactive session to discuss the different aspects of media viability, share approaches and experiences and present promising practical examples. Using innovative methods, the Media Viability Idea Lab provides expert inputs as well as room for debate in order to tackle these crucial issues.
