Expert for Women's Rights in Human Rights Debate, Germany
Nagla Abed studied law and holds M.A. degrees in Euroculture from the University of Göttingen in Germany and the University of Groningen in the Netherlands. She analyzed the development policy of the EU to support women´s empowerment through NGOs in the Middle East and North Africa region. She acquired experience in Brussels, Jordan, Syria, Egypt and the Gaza Strip. As expert consultant for the Anna Lindh Foundation, she supported flagship projects and developed culturally sensitive projects to promote dialogue between cultures. She is currently responsible for the intercultural affairs and dossier section of the Anna Lindh e-bulletin, which reflects current trends in the Euro-Med region.
