Herrmann, Prof. Dr. Peter

Herrmann is currently senior research fellow for social policy at University College Cork, director of the European Social, Organisational and Science Consultancy. He is as well Associate Professor (Dosentti) for Social Policy/Economics at University of Eastern Finland, Campus Kuopio, Finland and correspondent to the MPI for Foreign and International Social Law, Munich.

After studying sociology, political science and economics, his work focused on NGOs in the field of welfare policies and shifted over the years first towards researching the meaning of the process of European integration and social policy and the Third Sector and increasingly towards Human Rights and Economics.
