Member of the German Bundestag, Deputy Chairwoman of the Subcommittee for Civilian Crisis Prevention

Kerstin Müller is a member of the German Bundestag. She has been the Greens parliamentary spokesperson for Foreign Policy and a member of the Bundestag Foreign Policy Committee since 2002. From 1994 to 2002, Müller was the chairwoman of the Greens parliamentary party in the German Bundestag. She was minister of state at the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs from 2002-2005. Müller supported the referral of the Darfur case to the International Criminal Court as well as the commissioning of the action plan “Civilian Crisis Prevention”. Since its new foundation in March 2010, she is also the deputy chairwoman of the Subcommittee for Civilian Crisis Prevention. Her work focuses on the Middle East and the current change in the Arabic World, Sudan/Darfur, the Great Lakes Region as well as on transatlantic relations and the role of women in conflict and security policies.
